The Planning Process

I've been working really hard to make new patterns, but it's hard to come up with unique ideas that don't already have patterns available. I want to make unique amigurumi that other people would like to make. It involves a lot of drawing, and research, and I seem to be running low on creative inspiration. I think that means tomorrow I'm going to have to take the kids to the zoo! (Ok, I'm going to drag them to the zoo. I am always much more excited than they are.)

This dragon sketch is the inspiration for the newest pattern I'm working on. I like how it's turning out so far, but I can't wait to finish it so I can show it off! I'm using Hobby Lobby's I love this yarn in Fuchsia Neon and it's super soft! I'm going to test it in a sport weight next because I just love having a pocket sized toy to bring with me, it keeps the toddler entertained when we are in public.

It also looks like I may have more time to design patterns than I had originally intended, which will hopefully work out great, but we work with what we get! I'm also going to create an amigurumi basic tutorial post in the near future for anyone who is interested so I can try a crochet along on my blog!
Thanks for joining us today, and happy crafting!
